1) What is the relationship between the 3 tabs (Standard, Own, Current) tabs in the drawing toolbar/palette on the right of the main screen, and the various folders under C:\Program Files (x86)\QuoVadis7\Supplement\symbols???
2) Is it possible to add custom symbols? What are the requirement (file format, size, etc.) and the procedure?

Standard is fixed, build in set of symbols.
Own: click in the folder-box and select any folder with own symbols, which should be png or jpg or bmp 32px but not bigger then 100px
Current: quick access to just all symbols currently used in the actual roadbook

However, in my 7.3.0.6, there is no such thing as "[a] folder (with (or without) symbols" to click on in the Own tab. A few blank images (they are named ding1 to ding 3) cause the followin error when clicking on them:
ZitatSystem.ArgumentException
ZitatParameter is not valid.

Also, there are many icons with more than 100 pixels (the entire series of navdir_xxx.png is 1028x128 pixels, for ex.)

pls ignore the ding.. There are not supposed to be listed and from next update on they are gone.
100px is just a recommendation, technically there is no limit.
See screenshot, click in folder-box and select the folder, where your icons are stored.
