    @ Sir-Vival and Horst

I've done the conversion of my big TIFF file to an MBTiles one

The importation into QV7 has been done without errors BUT the map does not display any more !!!!!

    gsguenter

what tool dit you used to convert your TIFF file to ECW ?

    thanks

following the advices of Polarlys, I've made some more tests . No more success than before ?(

--> Right-click in the map in the X-Plorer list -> Style Maps -> General -> tick "Load partially..." : no success

--> Reduce the color depth to 8 bits. : No more success

Using ImageMagik, find here after a more accurate techspec of my TIF file

May be somebody will find something strange or wrong

Delago, QV people and all other concenrned

As you can see and read, the notion of "Project Manager" is not so evident to understand for people who are coming from old versions of QV or from other gps-map softwares

From my own "experience", the documentation concerning this part is not very clear about concepts and usability.

    hello Didier

    jean-michel

    Hi all,

I have a raster map that I cannot load in QV7.

Trying to activate this map with "Show in map", I receive a flashing blank screen for 1 or 2 sec than nothing and return to the Xplorer.

I have tried the same map in different format (png, tiff, jpg)

I have the same symptoms for all these format

The TIFF file is about 2.5Gb

The PNG file is about 2Gb

The JPG file is about 500Mb

My machine is equiped with W7 x64, 16Gb ram

All these maps have been checked and can be opened correctly

is there somewhere a logfile that may be checked for a detailled error ?

For help, files are available on demand

    thx

    Jean-Michel

    Hi all
    Forget my previous message.

I've juste realize that Project Manager was effectively the tool I have to use in spite of a lack of comprehension

    How .. ?

I have loaded a first map and that add the other ones as overlay.

Doing that way, the project was automatically created

    that's it

Now I will study a little bit more concerning this miracle :-)

I am going to be more explicit

For Belgium 1:25000, I do not have a single raster image (a PNG file) and its calibration file

I have 57 PNG files with their own calibration file . Every PNG file represent a region of Belgium

So while exiting one map, the adjacent next map would normally be automatically loaded.

We do not speak here about several overlays of the same map but about different maps being used one by one side by side to represent the country

Delago : RTFM done many times : create a project, load the different maps into it ; but no way I cannot pass automatically from one map to another one

As you seem to be clever than I, may be I can send you 2 or 3 adjacents files and the calibration files

So you can test it on you side

    Thanks for help

    Hi all

Using TTQV4 for more than 10 years, I am now a little bit lost in QV7 specially with the automap function X(

In TTQ4, we could have more than one map to cover a whole country and we could pass from one map to another while GPS online or offline.

It seems that in QV7, Automap is not running correctly :(

So .... how to re-use my old maps in QV7 without having to merge them in one map ?

    thx for your help
