Good evening!!!!
Sorry to come back to this issue.
I hope this question was not answered elsewhere, I have briefly searched and not found an answer.
Still using TTQV4 (update TTQV 4.0.133), under windows 7 pro. My question is whether this version would work under Windows 10? Microsoft is pressing really hard to perform an update !!!!Thanks in advance

Hello Jockel
Zitat von "jockel"Hi Anhad,
[snip]
- this +5/-5 setting to increase/decrease detail only works with [snip] and with *.img files (in a similar way), if they are prepared to allow this
modification. Can a user "prepare" such an *.img map? How?
Also: Do TTQV developers plan to allow this feature for shp files as well?
Best regards

Hello all,
Many thanks to the TTQV team for the new QV4 manual in English
On pg87 of the manual it says "Furthermore, by right-clicking on a lyer entry, a pop-up menu will open where you can enter a threshold for visibility ranking from -5 to +5. This threshold will define the minimum scale setting for plotting this layer in the map when zooming in and out."
I have tried this with my own vector maps (shapefiles imported as QVM) on TTQV v4.0.59, but I cannot get the desired effect, ie to have vector map layers disappear from view as I zoom in or out.
Am I missing something?

Hello,
extract from help file, on multitracking:
"Important: As QV3 can process ONE data flow only, the user first has to collect the different position signals including Station Ids by an extra, appropriate hardware and feed these data to the serial interface (which is outside of QV3)."
I am investigating multitracking as a solution to a problem, and would like to find out specifically what (hardware, software, $$) is needed!!!
Thanks

Hello Jo,
I knew you would like my previous comment!!
I solved the problem with a simple USB-to-Serial defvice, the size of a match-box, bought for around 30Euro. It even allows communication with speeds up to 115000 if your model allows it!!!
I thought you should know, since it appears that the serial ports are going the way of the dinosaurs. Some newer portables are now shipping without serial ports.

Hello Jo,
It is now official - my serial port is kaput  .
There was nothing wrong with TTQV after all

Hello Jockel,
Happy new year to all
On transferring waypoints to my 12xl the names of the waypoints changed. So, I sent the wp "HOME" which became "HOEME" on the GPS, the waypoint "kokoli" became "koekoe" etc!!! Similar changes happened to the waypoint description. "e" was added after pretty much every vowel in the waypoint name and description!!!
I tried the same with a previous version on my portable, the problem did not show there.
(I tried downloading the latest version just now - unfortunately I got the 2.51.49. Maybe it is a problem with the cache of my provider - but it could be solved if you differentiated the update file names eg qv25updv50.exe?)

Hello Hockel
Thank you for the quick reply.
I did what you suggest, but the problem remains.
Any more ideas would be very welcome. I am (still) using win98 if that makes any difference

Hello Jockel,
The track is an outline of main streets in my town, so, yes, the FPs are intentional and needed. I shall send it to you

Hello,
The firstpoint switch does not work when trackcolor mode is set to speedcolors. When the trackcolor mode is switched to "normal" the problem disappears.
Also: There are two german language options under trackcolor submenu.
