Is it possible to reduce the minimum grid interval?

  • Hi everyone,

I'm new to TTQV, so please bare with me if this is an easy question.

I've imported my raster map and even figured out who to get is all calibrated. Now I want to apply a UTM grid to the final image using a 1km grid spacing as per standard Canadian 1:50000 maps. Problem is that it appears that the gird spacing is set automatically and does not go less than 5Km. I've searched through the manual and it appears that this is an automatic setting.

Is there any way I can apply a custom UTM grid at 1km intervals? The manyal seems to mention something about user grids, but I don't believe that this will solve it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Never mind... I just figured out what the Grid Width option does!

  • Hello Spyke555,

the variable grid option was introduced after the manual was updated.
Provided you use the latest version of TTQV2.5 (2.50.37):
If you have set the "Units" Icon to UTM, you can set a grid width.
0 always means automatic. Also, if you alter the map-datum, the UTM grid
will adjust according to the new datum.

If you set the units to lat/lon, the grid width will switch back to "0" again, and you can set the grid width for lat/lon separately.
