Dems problem fench version (solved)

    Hi,
    I just installed TTQV5 and the SRTM30 wich is provided.
    In Xplorer the files are shown in the System folder: 2 gmg-files joint together: srtm30-bathy-east, srtm30-bathy-west


    But with any map I have the message No Dem in the bottom right corner and no heigth shown at the cursor.



    I Tried do delete the MNE list and import it. Import works wel but no change exactly te same.
    I also tried to import other DEMs I had and working fine with TTQV4 and same issue



    Version of TTQV is the last one : TTQV5.0.7.8


    Any idea to solve this problem?

    just checked if DEMs work properly and did not find any problem here.

    I do not know what you mean with this?


    Anyway:
    - delete all DEMs registered in TTQV5
    - reset TTQV5 using "options, settings, program, "reset all..."
    - have only one of those srtm30 files in a folder and import it, to ttqv5, then check!


    What is the exact filename, size and date of the srtm30 file you tried to import?

    that is strange, I imported the same DEMs and everything looks o.k.


    So send me a screenshot please, arrange as follows:
    your entire TTQV5 window with a map open, the cursor placed (click)
    somewhere on the visible landmass and belwo the map window please
    QV-Xplorer with your imported DEMs visible. Send it to my e-mail adress
    below. Maybe I can see something which helps finding the problem.

    ... in general, this is realy strange.....


    - What is special in your installation? Is it a virtual Windows Installaiton
    on top of another Operating System?
    - I am missing the frame of the QV5 Window showing the version number of QV5?
    - can you please delete the DEMs, only import a single (srtm30-bathy-east)
    by rightclicking MNE, new, and import only this single file and retry?

    I am running TTQV5 on a HP Pavillon dm3 with legit Seven Pro installed
    All software in french version (Seven and TTQV)


    About the version it is the last one as told in my first post. Here ise what the software verion says:

    I just tried what you said: same result.


    I don't think I told it. I kept my TTQV4 installed in order to have it while I get familiar to the new version and to import quietly all my previous data.

    thank you for all that input! My guess is, that there must be
    some problem wiitt the different naming of the DEM databases
    in different languages. QV probably simply does not find or watch
    the right database. We are checking for that!

    Yes, its a problem with the french naming of the dem-database.
    Its already fixed for update 5.0.7.13.

    - please exit TTQV5, maybe restart your PC.
    - go C:\Users\Public\Documents\TTQV5_Data\System\
    In this folder you find the database "Ma date de grille de MNE.qv5db", delete it.
    If there is an additional "Meine Gitter Datums DEMs.qv5db", delete it too.
    - download the latest development update
    http://www.ttqv2.de/files5/qv5a_upd_7013.exe
    and install right over your exisiting TTQV5.
    - start TTQV5 an redo the import of your DEM


    Does it work now?


    If I get you right You already have the worldwide SRTM30 data (900m grid)
    In case you are interested, here you find the srtm3 data (90 m grid) for
    southern/central Europe in *.gmg format:
