I have a HOLUX USB GPS, originally worked well with v3.0.80. SUddenly, the system does not show any WP or new tracks output a jet engine problem. updated Microsoft jet engine did not help. unsinstalled and reinstalled v3 same result. I can et positioning result using F4 but cannot get poitioning on the map. No other software have been installed on the PC. Should have to do how TTQV acquires the data from the USB GPS.
Very frustrating! :-x

Hi,
exactly when does the error message happen?
Please send a screenshot of the entire TTQV screen including the error
message plus your ttqv3a.ini file to service@ttqv.com.If TTQV3.0.80 was working without any problem, it is very unlikely that
whatever jet-engine problems happen all in a sudden without any reason.
"reasons" may be located in the range from installation or even uninstall of
whatever other software to virus infections. It is very hard to determine
this, if not sitting in front of the respective machine.ZitatI have a HOLUX USB GPS.....
Some more details anout this device please, maybe a link. -
Thanks for your quick reply. It may be unlikely that the jet engine problems appear suddenly but being aware of computer problems, this laptop has never seen internet to minimize virus infections. I communicate through internet via another computer that is well protected with a commercial firewall and an antivirus updated every day.
The only new software installed for the past 2 months are Holux software and TTQV3.
I suspect it is a parameter or configuration problem. I am sending my ini file as per tour request to the service email. I will retry later and try to get a screen shot. Sometimes it is impossible, the program simply crashes and close. The rest of the computer seems unaffected.Regards

Hi,
did you try to apply a clean TTQV installation following exactly the rules as
described here:
http://bb.ttqv.com/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=3988
using the latest complete setup from here:
http://www.ttqv2.de/files9/qv3www_e.exe
plus, for testing purposes, apply the latest development
update, available here:
http://www.ttqv2.de/files9/qv3upd_87.exeAfter all that procedure (plus latest dev. update!), close TTQV, move or
delete ttqv3a.ini, start TTQV and reapply all settings. For Holux communication:
To which parameters did you set GPS communication in TTQV3 exactly?
(maybe a screenshot too!) -
Holux USB adaptor is on com4 NMEA 4800 bauds and is well seen by TTQV, however still no position arrow, no WP(F6) and no traces seen even if a speed is also measured.

Hi,
I received the ttqv3a.ini, nothing strange, beside: If I experience trouble
with any software, I would start not installing it to a self decided folder
but rather to the default folder, just to eliminate any problem here.
I would change this first. And, I am missing the screenshot showing the jet error plus some more
info at which point exactly it appears. Does the jet error happen at
different points in TTQV ?
The problem is: nobody except you has these errors. So all we have are
your reports. There is no way of reproducing the errors here. Please create a debug file. Maybe something special to find that way:
http://bb.ttqv.com/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4149While running in debug mode, switch TTQV to online mode with the
Holus reporting positions (even if not seen on themap), just
to see what the debug file reports about this connection.I do not think, the story has to do anything with the Holux. Maybe connect
any other GPS receiver in NMEA mode just to see whether the jet error
persists. All actions in TTQV, creating waypoints, reporting positions
are related to reading and writing from databases. -
Thanks for your answer, I will create a debug file, I just got an error
QvError 3078
LV_tablevirtualfill recordset
The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the table or Query tracks.I found and applied the Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database Engine Service Pack 8 but again that does not seem to change anything.
