in some cases ttqv generates small dot grm files (e.g.: 1.grm). It seems to me that it is used for tracking displaying. What is the purpose of these files? Shall we save them when creating back-ups of the waypoints files?

Hello Claude,
to the best of my knowledge, these files are created if you download data
from your GPS and have the option "Backup data to harddisk" enabled.
Has nothing to do with track display.
