problem with ttqv5.0.5.6 [Mod Edit]

    as the error message says, the protection module did recognize an modification
    of the proper time/date settings and assumes whatever improper intentions.


    - restart your PC
    - set the proper time and date
    - go to the folder ...\TTQV5_Data\ included there is a folder ..\_lic\ delete it!
    - run !TTQV5.0.5.1 complete setup! (see our download page), then add update 5.0.5.6
    - start redoing the online activation of your TTQV5 software and maps!

    possibly your "internet security software" NORTON 360 causes te problem. Disabling Norton and
    retrying to start TTQV5 may show this. But in many cases, disabling such software is not
    sufficient. Uninstalling to show if this is the problem is more reliable. After uninstalling
    such software, it may be better to simply rerun the TTQV5.0.5.1 setup, as these protection
    software may have damaged files or settings.

  • I have to uninstall TTQV, disable norton and reinstall TTQV?


    !!NO!! :D
    - restart your PC
    - uninstall Norton, probably PC-restart required
    - simply run the TTQV5.0.5.1 complete setup, then 5.0.5.6
    update again (no TTQV5 uninstall required!)
    - try to start TTQV5

    - did you delete the ...\_lic\ ...folder prior to running ttqv5.0.5.1 complete setup ?
    - did you delete qv5.ini?
    - is this a PC where ttqv5 was running properly before?
    - what windows is running there exactly, running native or virtualized ?
    - is the proper date/time set on this PC now ?


    ... hmmm.... again
    - restart your PC
    - delete ...\_lic\ ... folder
    - delete the entire c:\program files\ttqv5\ folder
    - rerun TTQV5.0.5.1 complete setup (don´t run any other previous version complete setup)
    - rerun TTQV5.0.5.6 update


    ... what other changes in software did you apply to this PC before TTQV5 started to misbehave
    on this PC ?

  • date and time are correct
    I have not made any software changes
    TTQV I updated to 5.0.5.6.
    After a few days gave the error
    Now I did what you told me
    but unfortunately it always gives me the same error

    lic Prepars=16362
    The system date was temped with and the application is locked. You can unlock the application by setting the correct date or with an Activation Key
    C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Document\TTQV_Data\_lic\lp_ttqv5b.lic


    Aber man muss schon starren...

    I reported all your information and Screenshots to Tom (our programmer) and
    he was able to simulate the problem. Once TTQV5 fells tampered due to some
    time problem, it does not allow to reenter properly the activation window.
    This is definitely a bug! The problem is, uininstalling TTQV5 will not help here.
    Tom will provide an update within 2 days where this behaviour is corrected!


    Please be patient until this update can be provided!
    ... unfortunately Tom has started right now a bigger fixing of an other part of
    TTQV5. This makes it impossible to provide you with an update at once, we are
    sorry for that!
