http://www.ttqv.de/html/pw3_download.html
Mal sehen, wie es dann weitergeht. Was ist eigentlich ein Palm T|X ?

Danke Dieter ...

Hello
I also have a Palm TX but it can't be connected with the GPS Garmin 60.
I think the problem is about the serie cable.
Can you tell me if you know a site where I can find this cable?
Thanks.Didier

Martin said, that using your device with PW3 might be a problem, as
PW3 occupies all buttons of the Palm for it´s own purposes. As the TX has no
"home" button on the !display! to push, you might be in trouble trying to
leave PW3.I have no idea whether it will work connecting the TX to the GPS60. Places to
find cables for PDA devices are for example here:
http://pc-mobile.net/gps.htm
http://www.gpskabel.de/shop/index.htm
http://www.haid-services.de/index.htmlBut I have definitely no idea exactly which one to select. You will have to ask!

thank you very much for your help!

As far as I know, there are tools existing for the T|X to re-create the Home button in the status bar. Please search the established Palm forums like Nexave (german) or 1src.
Another option might be to asign one of the silk buttons to Home or to the launcher. I assume that the T|X still have the 2-cell input area with the 4 free configurable silk buttons.

Didier - do you have a cable and it doesn`t connect or are you searching for a cable?
I`m using T3 with emap and there was a problem with connection which was caused by a bug in PalmOS - the same cable worked with M500 and emap.
After modifying the connector with a bridge between 4 pins the same cable worked as well with the T3. Only a guess. -
Dietmar
I am searching for a cable but I can't find; I only have a hot sync cable that doens't work.
I think -but am not sure- that the plug of the T3 is the same that the TX one, isn't it? I need a cable that uses the NMEA protocol of the Garmin 60 and of the Palm.
Where did you find your connection cable (an internet site perhaps)?Didier

There's a german shop that's selling cables for all device combinations:
Palm changed the connector with the introduction of Tungsten T5 and Treo 650. That means T3 has the same connector like older Palm models. T5, TX and Treo650 have other connectors.

I`d bought mine at
http://www.gpskabel.de/shop/index.htm
the site is in German, but if you email him, he may give you the answer in English.
The Bug was in the PalmOS - the description how to fix it was by Carsten Kurz who`s shop is the link above. Maybe in newer Versions of PalmOS its fixed. -
Hi everybody,
Thanks to everybody for your help, I think I will find what I need on this site adress
http://pc-mobile.net/pdaserial.htm item n° PT65GP -it can help somebody else-.
Here is the mail I receive from this site for a Palm TX - Garmin 60 solution:"You have several options:
1. PT65GP - plus the GPS serial cable, if you already have, plus necessary power
input through PT65GP (e.g. CKUC)
2. GPRT65 - includes car power for PDA but GPS must use batteries.
3. GRBTA - should also work. We did have 2-3 reports that ti ws not working with
GPS60 but it could well be due to incorrect settings by the customers. We have
since obtained a GPS60 to test with the bluetooth adapter and it works OK."Note that there is a bluetooth solution for the Garmin GPS which is not Bluetooth at the origin.
To help, there is also a site in France where I can find the power cable and serie cable for the GPS together , it is http://www.orbitica.com/
Once again thank you very much . I'll order these items and I'll say you if it works in some days.
